Daddyhole Sauna and Health Club...............has its own dedicated and discrete entrance on Meadfoot Sea Road for visitors not staying at the resort and internal access for guests. Once inside you will find a television lounge where you can enjoy a choice of hot and cold drinks and snacks. Beyond you will find the locker room and showers. Further in you will find the Sauna. The tradition of sauna bathing dates back many hundreds even thousands of years. There is evidence to suggest it was practiced by North American Indians and found its way across to Finland & Scandinavia with returning Vikings. Refined over generations it has achieved a cult like reputation as the cure all for many ailments. The body has entirely natural responses to changes in temperature and humidity. When the body warms the blood vessels become more pliable so the blood flows more easily, tensions reduce; the body relaxes, sleep is more easily induced and becomes more replenishing. The humidity causes the pores of the skin to open more widely allowing dirt and grime to be freed and washed away by the increased flow of perspiration. Regular use reduces the occurrences of spots and skin blemishes and consequently improves the complexion. Rest rooms and DVD lounge can also be found in this area.

Take the stairs up to the spa bath. There is no better way to sit and relax. A combination of heated water, buoyancy, and soothing jets massage your stress away. While sitting in the Spa blood vessels will dilate making it easier for your heart to pump, improving blood flow and circulation. Stress relief is only seconds away. Adjacent you will find the steam room. Steam bathing dates back at least to the times of the Romans and probably earlier, to many it is the very pinnacle of bathing pleasure. There are few experiences that compare to the sumptuous warmth and humidity of super soft clouds of steam rolling over your skin; at once cleansing and refreshing. When steam condenses it gives back the heat of evaporation; gently warming the skin makes the blood vessels more pliable, blood flows more easily so that tensions reduce, stresses and strains are eased, aches and pains melt away.

If you are feeling energetic why not work up a sweat in the mini gym. There is also a large sun lounge with an adjoining courtyard smoking area. During the summer months take a dip in the 42 foot outdoor swimming pool or just sunbathe around the edge or in the gardens.
